Course objective: To develop the listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills of the Italian language by introducing the students to the basic grammatical and communicative structure of the language. The students will be able to express simple concepts and ideas, interact and communicate in the target language. They will also be exposed to Italian culture through the study of geography, customs and traditions.

Students will have the opportunity to further develop the knowledge acquired in Italian through reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Particular emphasis will be placed on building writing and speaking skills in authentic situations. Culture will continue to be incorporated in the curriculum to deepen the students’ understanding of the same.
- 930 - Italian III
930 - italian III
This course will continue to develop the students’ skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking at an upper-intermediate level. Students will build understanding of the language through the reading of short stories, brief articles and poems. They will continue to improve their writing skills by producing emails, letters, and compositions. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the main ideas in radio broadcasts, videos, and movies as well as speaking in prepared and spontaneous settings. This course may be taken for honors credit.

938 - HONORS italian III
Honors Italian II students will be required to complete additional tasks in assignments, projects, tests, etc. in accordance with the topic covered.
