Football Players Recognized with Honors

Congratulations to the following Creighton Prep student athletes on being recognized with the following honors from the recent football season:

Omaha World-Herald All-Nebraska team: Ryan Bena ’19 (first team), Grant Matthies ’18, Luke Sims ’19 and Marcus Vaughn-Jones ’18 (all second team)

Lincoln Journal Star Super-State team: Ryan Bena ’19, Grant Matthies ’18 (both offense, second team), and Marcus Vaughn-Jones ‘18 (defense, second team)

Lincoln Journal Star All-State Honorable Mention team: Steve Krawczyk ’19, Will Krenzer ’18, Tom Searl ‘18, Luke Sims ’19, Noah Strako ‘19 and Nickthaniel Wells ’18.

Omaha World-Herald Class A team: Ryan Bena ’19 and Marcus Vaughn-Jones ’18 (both first team)

Lincoln Journal Star Class A team: Ryan Bena ’19, Grant Matthies ’18 (offense) and Marcus Vaughn-Jones ’18 (defense)

Metro Football Coaches All-Metro team: Ryan Bena ’19, Thomas Searl ’18 (Defensive Line Player of the Year), Luke Sims '19 (Fullback Player of the Year) and Marcus Vaughn-Jones ‘18

Academic All-Metro team: Ryan Bena ’19, Thomas Corpuz ’19, Drew Dunham ’18, Thomas Searl ’18 (all first team) and Will Krenzer ’18 (honorable mention)
