Senior Tribute Video 

To commemorate our graduates, we created a video slideshow complete with all of the input they provided about their post-graduation plans and photos. Read the seniors’ thoughts as they share their special memories and proudest moments at Prep. Congratulations Class of 2020! 

Graduation Ceremony on Friday, July 31

The Class of 2020 graduation ceremony is set to take place at CHI Health Center Arena on Friday, July 31 at 7 p.m. More information will come as we get closer to the date. An important reminder that we need all graduates to fill out this form ASAP to help us prepare for the ceremony.


Summer Communication

This is the last Parent Pulse for the 2019-2020 school year although we will send communication as needed throughout the summer. 

Summer Reading Book Delivered to Students

The all-school summer reading book “24th and Glory: The Intersection of Civil Rights and Omaha's Greatest Generation of Athletes.” The book is written by Dirk Chatelain of the Omaha World-Herald and they will be mailing it to each student sometime soon. Also, students may want to use this helpful study guide that will help students focus as they read. 

Final Grades 

Final grades for all freshmen, sophomores and juniors will be posted to PowerSchool by the end of the day today.

Please follow us on Instagram for pop-up summer hours or feel free to email Molly Sengstock for personal shopping times. We will ask you to please wear a mask when entering the building and maintain a proper distance. We will be wiping down counters, credit cards and pens. Shopping is limited to 5 people in the store at a time. Please park on the east side and go in the doors to the Hider Center. We can't wait to see you in the Jaymart!

Senior Yard Signs 

Today, with the help of 70 faculty and staff, we managed to surprise the seniors with congratulations yard signs to commemorate their last day of classes. 

Senior Retreat and Mass

Campus Ministry has planned a Senior Emmaus Retreat from May 5-8 ending with a Senior Emmaus Retreat Mass on Friday, May 8 at 7 p.m. We hope to offer students a virtual space to gather together for companionship and to grow in their faith while sending them onto their post-Prep journeys with hope and joy. 

Graduation Ceremony Plans Coming Soon

Next week we’ll be announcing our plans for Prep’s Class of 2020 graduation ceremony to be held later in the summer. Parents and seniors can look for an email coming soon. 

Final Monday Night Lights on May 4

This Monday is the last night to enjoy the lights at Jurgensen Park from 8 to 8:20 pm - that's 20:20 in military time - to support Prep's Class of 2020. Please enjoy the lights from afar and practice social distancing. 


Senior Josh Kramer Receives Rotary Club Award

The West Omaha Rotary Club presented Josh Kramer with their annual Outstanding Citizen award via Zoom today. Congrats Josh!

Sophomores’ Essays Win at the Institute for Holocaust Education Contest

Three Prep sophomores took the top three places with their award-winning essays in the Institute for Holocaust Education’s “Tribute to the Rescuers” contest in Nebraska. Congratulations to 1st place winner Gavin Brown, 2nd place winner Justin Lewis and 3rd place winner Nathan Ramachandran. (Left to right in the photos below.)

Jake Boor Named WOWT’s High School Athlete of the Week

Last night, WOWT announced that Jack Boor ‘21 is their High School Athlete of the Week. Jake was part of last year’s state championship golf team and was looking forward to this year’s golf season.



Awards Night Monday, May 4

Prep’s annual Student Awards Night honoring our outstanding students will be held virtually on Monday, May 4. A special video presentation of the awards will include messages from Prep President Fr. Tom Neitzke, SJ and Head of School Jim Bopp, along with presentations from faculty and staff. The video will be posted to Prep’s YouTube page at 7 p.m. for those who are interested in tuning in.

NSAA 2020-2021 Sports Physical Update

The Nebraska State Athletic Association (NSAA) has determined Pre-Participation Physical Examinations (PPE) for the 2019-2020 school year will be acceptable for the 2020-2021 seasons. This recommendation is a one-year exemption only and does not include incoming freshmen. All incoming freshmen participating in a sport will need to get a new physical on or after May 1, 2020.
