Mid-Quarter Progress Reports Now Available

Academic progress reports are now available on PowerSchool. If you need help accessing PowerSchool, please contact the High School Office.

To access your son’s report:

If your son is struggling academically, please review any comments on the progress report for guidance. Additionally, encourage him to stay engaged, complete work, and use class time as well as online office hours for additional help. We are grateful for your increased level of partnership as we work to keep our students moving forward with their academics. Your son’s teachers and counselor are available to help. Please do not hesitate to contact them with any questions or concerns you might have.

Fitness from Home

Prep’s Director of Athletics Dr. Dan Schinzel has responded to requests to provide students with the framework to encourage them to pursue physical fitness during this time of being more isolated and sedentary. Physical exercise not only helps students with their physical health but it also can help provide an increased sense of mental wellness. Here is the Fitness Initiative exercise plan and a handy Workout Log to track progress.

Monday Night Lights

Just two more Mondays left to enjoy the lights at Jurgensen Park from 8 to 8:20 pm - that's 20:20 in military time - to support Prep's Class of 2020. Monday Night Lights last lighting is May 4. Please enjoy the lights from afar and practice social distancing.

Academic All-American Gymnasts

Sophomores Paul Lampert (left) and John Wear (right) were recently named Academic All-Americans for Men’s USAG Gymnastics. These boys practice gymnastics for four hours a day, five days a week, all year round and still manage to earn good grades.

Minecraft Prom

Not wanting to miss prom, these enterprising Prep students created a virtual Minecraft prom complete with an invitation video and prom day game. KETV recently featured Simon Podliska '21, Jack McNally '22 and Isaiah Griffith '21 in a story about their efforts to find a way to experience prom in spite of a pandemic and connect with their friends.

Distance Yourself 5K on April 24-26

Student Council will host a virtual “Distance Yourself” 5K race on the weekend of April 24 to the 26 with the top 20 individuals winning a limited edition Distance Yourself 5K t-shirt.

We encourage everyone to get off the couch and get outside for a walk, jog, or run next weekend for 3.1 miles (or 5 kilometers). It is free to participate, and we encourage families to participate together. Participants should follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing.

To participate in the race, an individual or family would need to email Mrs. Madeleine Morelli before Sunday, April 26 at 5 PM with the following items:

  • A video or picture of the individual or group running

  • A screenshot of running route that was tracked by a smartphone app like Map My Run, Strava, or Nike+ Run Club

  • The time it took for the individual and group to complete the race

NSAA 2020-2021 Sports Physical Update

The Nebraska State Athletic Association (NSAA) has determined Pre-Participation Physical Examinations (PPE) for the 2019-2020 school year will be acceptable for the 2020-2021 seasons. This recommendation is a one-year exemption only and does not include incoming freshmen. All incoming freshmen participating in a sport will need to get a new physical on or after May 1, 2020.
