Prep Welcomes 275 Freshmen to Begin 142nd Academic Year
Creighton Prep began its 142nd academic year by welcoming 275 freshmen in the Class of 2023. The students started at Prep on Friday, August 9 with an orientation session they attended with their senior Big Brothers.
Freshmen and their families then participated in the New Family Mass & Orientation event on Sunday, August 11. It began with Mass at 5 p.m. That was followed by dinner, an orientation for parents, and recreational activities for the students.
Registration and the first day of classes for freshmen happened on Monday, August 12. They and their senior Big Brothers went to the Mullen Gym for yearbook pictures then to the Heider Center to receive their class schedules. After that, freshmen went through an abbreviated school day that ended at 2:45 p.m.
Sign up to Help in the Prep Moms Organization
Dear Prep Parents and Guardians,
Did you know that mothers, fathers and guardians become members of the Prep Moms organization when their young men register at Prep? It's true! Volunteering on Prep Moms committees is a super way for you, grandparents and friends of Prep to get involved at the school, work alongside great people and help make Prep events successful.
When the committees in which you express interest need volunteers, you will receive an email directing you to a page where you can sign up for specific tasks.
Please also plan to attend any or all of our five meetings scheduled for the school year. At the meetings, we will discuss group business and host a featured speaker such as Head of School Jim Bopp or President Fr. Tom Neitzke, SJ. Our first one is Tuesday, September 3 at 7 p.m. in the Carta Hall of Fame Room.
I look forward to serving as your Prep Moms President this year! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
