The Class of 2018 received their diplomas on Sunday, May 20 in front of a packed crowd in the Heider Center. Senior Jonathan Quiros served as the emcee for the event, which began with an opening prayer by Creighton Prep President Fr. Tom Neitzke SJ then the awarding of 50th anniversary diplomas to members of the Class of 1968.

Also during the program, senior Joseph Hennessey gave the valedictorian's address, classmate Ryan McNamara received the Henry Sullivan Award for outstanding senior and math teacher Pat Mooney received the Hindelang Award for Teaching Excellence.

The Prep students were then handed their diplomas by Fr. Neitzke as Principal Jim Bopp read their names while noting for some the names and graduating classes of their Prep alumni fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers.

The ceremony concluded with a traditional cap throwing by the graduates then photos with family members and friends in the Smith Atrium.
