"I have enjoyed being a part of the Creighton Prep community as a member of the Alumni Volunteer Corps, connecting with students both in the classroom and through clubs and athletics. Helping my students academically and seeing them develop as people has brought me a lot of joy. I have also grown as a professional, become more confident and gained important experience for my career."

– Matthew Jadlowski '13, co-teacher of Catholic Social Teaching, assistant for student outreach and advocacy, and coach of football and soccer.

What is the Alumni Volunteer Corps (AVC)?

The AVC is a program that offers a Creighton Prep graduate who recently graduated from college the opportunity to give a year of his life in service as a full-time volunteer at the school. Volunteers serve in collaboration with the other men and women who share a commitment to Jesuit education.

AVC volunteers are challenged to be Men for Others by working in the ministry of Jesuit secondary education and by living in community with other AVC volunteers.

"AVC allowed me to not only gain experience in the classroom as a teacher, but also allowed me to reconnect and give back to Prep, a school that offered me so much as a student." - Andy King '06, current Prep math teacher
