Creighton Prep Summer Math Academy for Responsible Teenagers(S.M.A.R.T.)
When: June 3rd – June 28th
Time: 1st class – 8:00 A.M. – 9:25 A.M. 2nd class – 9:30 A.M. – 10:55 A.M.
Course Description: The course will cover number systems and their operations, the divine ratio, solving and graphing multi-step linear, quadratic and higher degree equations enhanced with graphing calculator and smartboard technology (provided), intense factoring of polynomial equations, simplification of radicals and introduction to basic statistics and trigonometry. Students attending Prep as freshman will receive credit for the 8th grade Math Academy.
Why: This course is intended for the Algebra I student (textbook provided) interested in perfecting and mastering basic Algebra skills needed for the advancement into higher levels of mathematics.
Where: Mr. Jim Fisher – Math Teacher at Creighton Prep will teach this course in rm. 009 at Omaha Creighton Prep High School.
Cost: The cost for 4 weeks is $175 per student due at registration
