CAMPUS MINISTRY

Jesuit schools are infused with a five-century-old tradition and philosophy of education established by St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. Jesuit education helps develop each student in an environment that fosters the growth of the whole person.  As a Jesuit college-preparatory school, Creighton Prep believes that all students need a sound education and that a faith-centered school has an important role to play in providing this education. Students are encouraged to reach the best within themselves - not only in the classroom, but also in the community and through service work.

Campus Ministry plans student liturgies in addition to morning prayer, Lenten and Advent reflections, and school-wide prayer services.  Students have the opportunity to put their faith in action through a variety of service and social justice activities. Campus Ministry is also responsible for planning all of the Prep Retreats, which provide our students the opportunity to examine their lives in a reflective and spiritual way and to develop a personal and transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Guided by the vision of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Jesuit education helps develop each student in an environment that fosters the growth of the whole person. As we seek to develop Men for Others, the Profile of the Graduate at Graduation is the underpinning of Jesuit education.

This Graduate at Graduation banner is prominently displayed in the hallway at Prep serving as a daily reminder of the values we aspire to achieve.

Faith Life

Creighton Prep helps young men foster their personal faith through theology classes, service opportunities, all-school and class Masses, Ignatian Prayer Services, retreats, and other Campus Ministry activities.

Students take a leadership role in the day to day faith life of the school.  Students in the Campus Ministry Advisory Board (CMAB) lead our community in morning prayer each day and our afternoon Prayer for Generosity before the last period of the day.  Students in CMAB also meet regularly to plan student liturgies and prayer services.  Students also act as Lectors, EMHC's, Greeters, and Altar Servers for Prep liturgies.  We are also blessed to have a Liturgical Band and the Prep Choir to lead us in song at our liturgies.
