The Sullivan Center was the setting for approximately 300 attendees at the 2017 Loyola Dinner of Honor and Distinction on Wednesday, October 25 where six outstanding individuals were honored. A 6 p.m. cocktail reception in the Sullivan Center was followed by a welcome, introductions and a prayer from Creighton Prep President Fr. Tom Neitzke, SJ then dinner and the awards program.
During the program, Sister Delores Hannon, RSM received the Sword of St. Ignatius as a person who has striven to demonstrate exemplary service for the greater glory of God. In addition, Mary Joy Anderson was presented the Ancilla Domini Award in recognition of her caring, nurturing and unselfish dedication to her faith, family and community.
Hall of Fame inductees recognized for their distinguished service to Prep included Gregory J. “Greg” Boulay ’79 and Molly E. and Gary K. Witt, and Lawrence B. “Larry” Good ’69 was honored as Alumnus of the Year as an individual who embodies the values Prep inspires to instill in its graduates through living a life devoted to serving others.
