Progress Reports Available

In case you missed it, progress reports were released in PowerSchool on Tuesday, April 16. To view these, log in to PowerSchool, select Grade History and look under M4 grading period.

This is a good opportunity to review your son’s progress and encourage him to finish the year well. If your son is in danger of failing, begin by reviewing the comments in the progress reports. Please encourage him to reach out to his teacher for additional assistance and feel free to contact his teacher as well with questions or concerns.

BASH 2024 - Catalog and Saturday's Schedule

Our BASH 2024 online auction site is your official source for all things BASH! Please bid early and often through Saturday in support of our deserving students.

OUR CATALOG OF SUPPORTERS

If you have not already done so, please take some time to review our BASH 2024 Catalog of Supporters and join us in thanking all the people and organizations listed there who have made significant contributions to this year’s event. Our volunteers, advertisers, auction donors and underwriters are the pilots who made the dream of BASH 2024 Take Flight a reality.

We want to shine a special spotlight on our Premier Partner sponsors listed on page 20. Their generous commitments to BASH and the financial assistance needed by our students are truly remarkable and greatly appreciated.

SATURDAY'S SCHEDULE

We're putting the finishing touches on the Heider Center in preparation for a fantastic night! For all those who have registered to attend, thank you! Here's the schedule for Saturday night:

For Senior Parents - Graduation Information Needed From Your Sons

Senior parents, please check to make sure that your son responds to the email sent to him on Monday of this week from Head of School Bill Gotch. The email asked him to complete this form by next Tuesday, April 23 to let us know the proper pronunciation of his name and if his father, grandfather or great-grandfather graduated from Prep.

The April 15 email also noted that if all seniors complete the form, the dress code for them on Wednesday, May 1 will be “free dress” (meaning, hoodies, sweatpants and athletic shorts), and an ice cream bar will be available during their lunch period that day.

Thank you! If you have any questions, please email Mr. Gotch.

Register for the Senior Breakfast - Tuesday, May 7

Register now for the annual Senior Breakfast hosted by Creighton Prep, on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30 a.m. in the Sullivan Center.

All seniors are required to attend, and all fathers, stepfathers, guardians or father figures of seniors are invited to attend. Grandfathers of seniors who are Creighton Prep alumni are also invited to attend. Seniors will follow formal dress day guidelines, and guest attire is business casual.

A modest breakfast will be served, and a brief program will follow. The event should finish by 8:30 a.m. or sooner. This is a 9:35 a.m. late start day, so ample parking will be available in the west lot. Please click here to R.S.V.P. Note: seniors scheduled to take an AP exam at that time as verified by the counseling office will not be required to attend

We look forward to seeing you there!

New Traffic Flow - West Parking Lot - Beginning Monday

In order to alleviate some of the pressure during drop-off and pickup and to protect our students as well as discourage driving the wrong way, there will be a new traffic flow design in the west lot beginning Monday, April 22.

As shown in the graphics below, traffic in the two lanes closest to the school building will be one-way from south to north. Traffic in the closest lane to the school building will continue on the north drive to Seward Street (image 1), while traffic in the middle lane will loop around to the left to exit back onto Western Avenue (image 2).

There will be barriers preventing cars from traveling the wrong way down these lanes. In addition to the option of using the second lane in the west lot, parents wishing to return to Western Avenue after drop-off/pickup are encouraged to use the east lot.

We will be evaluating this traffic flow throughout the remainder of the school year.

West parking lot flow - going north - as of 4/22/24

Upcoming Events

For Senior Parents - Reminder: Save the Date for Higher Heights - Tuesday, April 30

Dear Senior Parents,

This is a reminder that you and your son are invited to the Heider Center during community period on Tuesday, April 30 from 9:45-11 a.m. for an inaugural event called Higher Heights - A Senior Decision Day Celebration. The event is an opportunity to applaud and recognize your son’s journey over the last four years and all they’ve done to prepare for college or other inspiring post-graduation plans.

During the event, we would like to announce your son’s college choice or other post-graduation plans as well as a scholarship he may be accepting (if he chooses to share that information). Your senior will be encouraged to wear a shirt from their college of choice or other attire indicating post-graduation plans. At the end of the program, you are invited to stick around for refreshments and some time with your son before he heads back to class.

This is not a mandatory event, but we encourage all seniors to attend. Even if your son is still discerning his post-graduation plans by Tuesday, April 30, we hope that he elects to share any information he can so that we can celebrate him and his journey here at Prep. Your son can register for the event at www.CreightonPrep.org/HigherHeights

We hope to see you at Higher Heights - A Senior Decision Day Celebration so that we can celebrate this exciting time in your son’s life.

In Christ’s Mission,

Fr. Matt Spotts, SJ
President
